Two ways to open a REX
Whoever launches a Mission chooses how its REX reach the commons — and contributors know which before they answer.
Given to the commons
Every REX is public: readable, citable and exportable by anyone, one at a time or all at once. Nothing is charged, so no dividends are paid — the Mission is a donation to the commons.

Each REX unlocks — to read and to export — when a reader buys it, and that payment goes to the contributor who lived it. A short excerpt of every one stays public as a taster.

Always readable before you decide
A free Mission is open in full. A paid one shows its subject, its questions and an excerpt of every REX, so you can judge what a Mission holds before paying anything.
Cited in reports & research
Every REX you can read is quotable and attributable. Policy teams, researchers and journalists can build on it and point back to the source.
Paid Missions pay their contributors
When a Mission is paid, most of what a buyer spends goes to the people who shared their experience — as Contribution Dividends, on every purchase.
Builds collective intelligence
Each REX added to the commons makes the next decision better informed — for the community it came from, and for everyone else.
How a REX reaches the commons

A Mission is opened
A requester launches a Mission, places it under Open Access, and chooses free or paid. Contributors see that choice before they answer.

People share what they lived
Contributors respond in text, audio, video or images, and are compensated for their contribution. Anonymity is honoured when the Mission requires it.

The community validates
Contributions are reviewed before they enter the commons. Only approved REX is published — nothing goes public unchecked.

It is read, cited, reused
A free Mission can be exported by anyone. A paid one unlocks on purchase, and that purchase pays its contributors.
Contribution Dividends
When a Mission is paid, most of what a buyer spends goes back to the people who lived the experience — split between the Mission's contributors, on every purchase.
Free Missions generate no dividends: nothing is collected, so nothing is owed. That is the trade a requester makes when they give a Mission to the commons outright.

Open Access
Public domain. Free to read, cite and reuse, with dividends for contributors.
Restricted Access
Owned exclusively by the commissioning organization, under NDA.

Limited to a verified community or sector.
